The time has come, the Orphans take to the stage for the last time this Saturday at The Beachcomber in Meggies. It will no doubt be mental, I was at the gig at The Spiders Web in Jan and the Orphanites were on form, mental, equal top in my fav gigs of all time. I have to make a mention for John Kennedy of XFM Xposure, he’s the man, full support for the Orphans from Trophies til the end. Any new bands out there send him your stuff, he’ll play you coz you’re good not because of who your PR agent is.  Here’s my fav Orphan image brilliantly captured by Orphanite Luke who’s now www.artmelt.com .  So long and thanks for all the fish. Orphan Boy will be playing their final gig at Cleethorpes Beachcomber on September 10^th. Is this a sad ending or a happy ending? Well, personally we felt that we needed to bring this chapter of our lives to a close so that we can look forward to the next. And this way we will be going out on a high rather than letting the whole thing fizzle out and so we all agreed to give the orphanites one last sweaty gig.

Seen em live at Fuji Rock on Saturday, basically calypso voodoo electricity running through the set that's like speed, if you haven't already go and see em live.
